How Physics Works How Physics Works is a book of physics exercises that test understanding of the 'new' GCSE content called 'how science works' which looks at the ideas behind practical science. I have put together a collection of 50 of these short, physics-based exercises (with suggested answers) as a book. I have written and used these to test attainment target 1 of the UK QCA programme of study for science in my classes, mostly for homeworks. Excercises are based on various tabular or graphical data sets, some made-up and some 'real', and are graded according to the level of response required (D-G, C/D, and A*-B).
